Mais uma longa noite Another long night Partimos após o nascer do sol. Pela noite fora tivemos um recinto repleto de gente. Houve tempo para tudo: - tempo para observação visual, para ciência, para conversar. O Luís Carreira trouxe um novo brinquedo, um binóculo 16x70, 4º de campo, excelente qualidade de imagem. É pesado e, por essa razão muito estável. Não tivemos dificuldade em observar com ele na mão, em vez de apoiado em suporte. O cometa Lovejoy foi o objecto da noite. Foi observado no Obsession e no binóculo 16x70; foi também capturado em imagem, o que é testemunhado abaixo. Mas houve belas imagens da Lua, de vários globulares, nebulosas planetárias, bem como de Saturno e Júpiter. A noite não estava para galáxias. Mesmo a nebulosa do véu só com filtro OIII mostrava detalhe. A M57 permitiu amplificar até 990x, mas não deixou vislumbrar a estrela central. A noite começou seca, mas a humidade chegou mais tarde; a temperatura foi amena e a atmosfera esteve estável. Não vou referir presenças porque iria esquecer algumas. There was time for everything: - for visual observations, for science, for talking. Luis Carreira brought a new binocular, a 16x70, 4º of field of view, excellent seeing quality. It is heavy and, because of that, very stable. It was easy to observe while handling it without any support. The object of the night was the comet Lovejoy. Visually observed through the Obsession and through the binocular, it was also captured in images, as shown bellow. There were beautifull sightings of the Moon, of several globular clusters, planetary nebulae, and of Saturn and Jupiter as well. The night wasn\'t good for galaxies. Even the Veil nebula only through an OIII filter displayed some detail.. M57 allowed amplifications up to 990x, but did not show the central star. The night started dry, but humidity came up later; temperature was mild and the atmosphere very stable. I do not list the presences so not to forget someone.
