Céu limpo, grilos e Lua. Clear sky, field crickets and the Moon Talvez as altas temperaturas dos últimos dias expliquem a avalanche de melgas que se abateu sobre a Atalaia. E permaneceram ali a noite inteira. A imagem das costas do José Ribeiro é bem elucidativa. Não sei bem como, consegui escapar com umas ligeiras picadelas nas mãos. A Lua nasceu à meia noite. Mas nunca ficou verdadeiramente escuro. Quanto a imagens, basta ver mais abaixo. Parece que todos os céus são bons, pelo menos quando se juntam equipamentos capazes, persistência e saber. Em visual, algumas imagens apenas razoáveis de M57, da Nebulosa do Véu com filtro OIII, de alguns enxames abertos e globulares; melhores foram algumas planetárias; Neptuno e Urano com os discos bem definidos estiveram melhores que Júpiter. No entanto Júpiter apresenta-se agora num campo com algumas estrelas que, à primeira vista, quase se confundem com os seue satélites. Por fim a Lua e fim de festa. 03:30 da manhã! E as malditas melgas sempre a rondar. Céus escuros......mas sem eles! Alberto Maybe the high temperatures of these last days can explain the avalanche of mosquitoes that fell over Atalaia. And remained there all night long. The photo showing the shoulder of José Ribeiro is quite elucidative. I don't know how but I was spared and made it with just a few small bites on the hands. The Moon rised at midnight. But the sky never became really dark. As for the images it seems that any sky is good when we put together the right equipments, perseverance and know how. Just have a look bellow. In the visual, we got some just reasonable sightings of M57, of the Veil nebula with an OIII or of some globular and open clusters; Neptune and Uranus, with well defined discs were better than Jupiter. But Jupiter is now in a very interesting star field, at first sight it looks like if it had some extra moons. Then the moonrise. The night went on until 03:30 AM. And the damned mosquitoes never gave up. Dark skies.......clear of mosquitoes! Alberto
