Noite de 19 para 20 + Enorme actividade solar dia 20 19 by night + 20 by day with huge solar activity Já na manhã de sábado houvera observação solar no topo do Parque Eduardo VII. A noite de 19 teve bastantes presenças e foi dedicada por muitos à captura de imagens. Os alvos foram a Lua, Saturno, Júpiter, alguns enxames globulares e até o coração da galáxia M51. Foi uma noite muito fria, mas sem humidade. O termómetro desceu a -2ºC. Foi também uma oportunidade de discutir algumas normas a respeitar por quem frequenta a Atalaia, no que respeita à utilização de lanternas, circulação de automóveis, apontadores laser etc. É bom que todos façam uso de luzes vermelhas, apaguem os médios quando se aproximam do local, ou quando partem, não usem flashes, não mantenham os motores a trabalhar próximo dos telescópios e das pessoas. É preciso que todos tenhamos consciência de que podemos estragar o trabalho de alguém. Os presentes desta noite foram respeitadores. Temos esperança que seja sempre assim. Alberto Saturday morning we had already had some solar observations at the top of Parque Eduardo VII. The night of 19 had a reasonable number of attendants and was mainly dedicated to image capture. The targets were the Moon, Saturn, Jupiter, some globular clusters and even the heart of M51. It was a very cold night, but quite dry. The thermometer fell down to -2ºC. It was also an opportunity to discuss some rules to be followed by all those who come to Atalaia, concerning the use of lights, car driving, laser beams etc. Everybody must use red lights, must kill the lights of the cars when approaching the place, when leaving or when driving through; everybody must not wear flashes or laser beams or keep the engines running near telescopes or other people. Everyone must be aware that one can spoil the work of somebody. There were no such problems this time. We hope that it will allways be like today in the future. Alberto
