Sob um céu de nevoeiro Under a foggy sky Não foi grande o grupo, esta noite. Muitos optaram pela noite de 6ª feira, pelo que os presentes foram 8. Desde o início que a atmosfera se apresentou extraordinariamente estável e bastante húmida. Estas noites, em que há tendência para nevoeiro, são muito boas do ponto de vista estabilidade atmosférica, devido à inversão térmica, nas baixas camadas da atmosfera. Assim tivemos talvez as melhores imagens de Saturno, pelo menos para muitos de nós, através do Obsession de 15", com amplificações de 560x, 700x e 1050x. Também a Lua permitiu imagens de grande nitidez. Estes foram os objectos da noite. Mas todos demos a noite por bem empregue. Observadores imparciais, como Pedro Ré e Guilherme de Almeida, foram testemunhos da raridade das imagens que tivemos o privilégio de observar. A noite terminou sob um espesso e gelado nevoeiro, cerca das 02:00 horas. Alberto The group was small tonight. Many opted for friday, so we were 8 at all. From early night, the atmosphere was extraordinarily stable and quite humid. These nights, when there is a tendency for fog, are very good, from the point of view of atmospheric stability, due to termic inversion in the lower layers of the atmosphere. For that reason, we had the best views ever of Saturn, at least for most of the presents, through the 15" Obsession, at amplifications of 560x, 700x and 1050x. Also the Moon allowed sightings of high clarity. These were the objects of the night. But we all were happy with it. Experienced observers, like Pedro Ré and Guilherme de Almeida, testified how rarely good were the sightings we had the privilege to share. The night ended, under a dense freezing fog, by 02:00 AM.
